Take care in the details

I absolutely love home decor, and it’s been fun to find our style and what works for our family in the new house. I am a firm believer in surrounding yourself with things you love. It’s so important to feel good while in your home. This sounds silly, but it’s taken me over 10 years of owning a home and trying different things to kind of find my niche in home decor. What I’ve learned is that I don’t like a lot of “stuff.” I like simple, peaceful spaces that bring me calm and bring me joy. What that means is the only pieces I do use are ones that I adore. Whether it’s your grandmother’s antique candlestick holders, or a pretty coaster set from at Sur La Table, take care in the things you buy and only fill your home with things that you absolutely adore. You’ll find yourself WANTING to be home more when surrounded by pieces you carefully curated for your home. So save up for those seemingly silly coasters or flowers that set your soul on fire. Pay attention to that feeling when you see something in a store or magazine that makes you excited. Then save for it or find an inexpensive version! I love the pieces in our home and it truly brings me joy to be surrounded by the things I love, whether they’re big or small. Here are a few things that I love and ideas for your own home to get you started…
