Collaboration series with Demri Rayanne photography

Do you ever have so much to say that you feel like you’re going to explode? Well that’s me, pretty much on a weekly basis. Luckily, my new friend Demri was willing to meet me for coffee one day and listen to what I had to say. The minute I met her, I knew we were destined to work together. She’s much younger than me, but an old soul and extremely talented. She sees things the way I do, you know? And for some reason, she gets me. We talked a lot about what we could create together. Another styled shoot? A mini-series of shoots? We talked about what our creativity means to us. How we don’t want to get sucked into conforming or doing what seemingly everyone else does on social media. We both agreed we want to stay as authentic as possible along the way.

I knew I wanted to take that idea and run with it. I said, let’s get back to basics and shoot what makes us feel good. Like our complete authentic selves. I purposely picked an outfit that I wear all the time…nothing special really, but something I feel beautiful in and that makes me feel like ME. I truly felt beautiful that morning, and just like me…but it wasn’t because of the way I looked. It was because of the way Demri made me feel. What makes you feel beautiful? Don’t forget about it. Hold onto that feeling and wear your favorite pieces every day if you want. That is what blogging means to me. It’s a bit about the clothing and styling, but mostly, I want you to come here to feel good about yourself. Confident. Beautiful. Just as you are, and knowing Demri, I know she wants her clients to feel the EXACT same way during a photoshoot with her. Believe me, you will.

Sitting in the corner of that coffee shop, Demri said to me, “you’re right where you’re supposed to be.” Boy did I need to hear that. So are you my friend, so are you.

Stay tuned for more REAL posts from us. Where we’ll talk about life, what makes us feel beautiful, and how WE WANT TO attack our presence on social media in the most raw, real way possible!
